Toe-Up Socks, Part 1

Once you’ve tackled top down socks, take the next step: working the other way. Learn how to make toe-up socks on double-pointed needles. We teach you everything you need to know to work toe-up – from handling the special cast-on for the toe, to turning the heel to the specialized cast offs required. Once you’ve mastered the mini, we make sure you’re equipped to get started on your first full-size sock.

Skill Level: Intermediate – knitters must have made at least once pair of top down socks
Materials Required: 4 or 4.5mm/US #6-7 DPNs and scrap medium-weight yarn in a light colour
